Florida False Alarm Management (2 Technical Hours for License Holders Renewal) On Line

Two (2) Hour Technical Course for Florida Alarm License holders. These two hours of training will go towards the renewal of the license or certificate cycle and are directed toward an understanding of the alarm dispatch reduction in F.S. 489, F.A.C. 61G6, ANSI CP-01, NFPA 72, NFPA 13 and NFPA 101. Florida False Alarm Management (2 Technical Hours for License Holders as an Advanced Module) On Line

Two (2) Hour Technical Course for Florida Alarm License holders. These two hours of training will go towards the renewal of the license cycle and are directed toward an understanding of the alarm dispatch reduction in F.S. 489, F.A.C. 61G6, ANSI CP-01, NFPA 72, NFPA 13 and NFPA 101. The Advanced Module course requirement for Florida licensed Electrical and Alarm contractors has been established by the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board under the Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 61G6-9.004 (6) It states in part “A minimum of one of the 14 required classroom hours of continuing education must be obtained by completing an approved provider’s specialized or advanced module course…” This particular requirement has evolved from the effort to educate all Florida contractors on the elements of the new uniform building code as approved by the Florida Building Commission. Each specialized industry has their own particular requirements and the Alarm Association of Florida has an approved advance module course available for Florida Electrical and Alarm Contractors. The AAF is also an approved course provider under ECLB0001140. This course must be completed as a requirement for biennial license renewal for all Florida electrical and alarm contractors. BASA 6 Hour, ECLB approved training course. BASA 6 HOUR RENEWAL COURSE WITH FALSE ALARM REDUCTION -  This course is for those technicians possessing a certificate proving completion of the mandatory initial 14-hour entry-level BASA course. At the end of that course a certificate and badge were issued with an expiration date. This date of expiration is two years after the issue date. 14-HOUR LICENSE HOLDER COURSE WITH FALSE ALARM REDUCTION - This course is offered to all state license holders seeking to earn their license renewal within the two-year time frame. It contains the hours mandated by Florida law of seven (7) technical hours, one (1) workplace safety hour, one (1) workers compensation hour, one (1) business hour and two (2) hours of false dispatch reduction and the two additional (2) elective hours necessary to be in compliance.
